How to install SQLite and SQLite browser on Ubuntu

SQLite is light, small and independent RDBMS In the C library. Popular databases such as MySql , PostgreSQL etc. operate in a client-server model and have their own process that executes and controls all aspects of database operations. Galaxy S21 review, one month later: Reclaiming the title

“Good” and “bad” smartphones can have qualifiers — as in, “good but too expensive” or “bad but so cheap it doesn’t really matter.” After all, everything is worth something to someone. But Samsung’s recent Galaxy S21 isn’t just a good phone, now that we’re starting to see the rest of what 2021 has to offer, it comes in at a good price, too. In fact, the more I use it, the more I like it. So, we’re taking the rare step of giving the Galaxy S21 our Most Wanted award. We reviewed the Galaxy S21 5G as sold by T-Mobile, but it should be generally identical to the unlocked experience. Design, hardware, what’s in the box Samsung’s latest smartphone lineup all share similar stylings, highlighted by the now immediately recognizable camera bump that flows smoothly into the corner and polished metal frame. It’s an attractive look, and the sort of physical branding Samsung should probably capitalize on. In a couple generations, it could be as recognizable as the iPhone’s characteristic camera b

This story was originally published 2021/03/02 14:51 PST March 2, 2021 and last update 2021.03.25 10:07 PDT March 25, 2021 … The Galaxy S21 series debuted with One UI 3.1, an updated version of Samsung’s software shell that contained several new features such as Google Home controls in the notification bar. Shortly after the S21 began shipping, Samsung started updating older devices with the One 3.1. While some features will remain exclusive to the S21, this is still a significant update, especially for devices that have been updated straight from One UI 2.5. The Tab S6 Lite also received an update to Android 11, but so far this tablet has only received One UI 3.0. One UI 3.1 currently runs on the following devices:   https://www.swxbt.com/one-ui-3-1-arrives-for-samsung-galaxy-a70s-a90-and-more/

Galaxy Watch3 Latest Update Comes To Verizon With Health Tracking Improvements

Image
Samsung wearables are some of the best on the market, combining high quality hardware with exceptionally smooth and reliable software. Last year’s Galaxy Watch3 represents the latest Samsung has to offer, and the new software update now arriving for Verizon models brings some “handy” new features. The Galaxy Watch3 now supports Samsung Health’s collaboration feature together, allowing users to share their fitness achievements and compete against each other. You will need to configure this in the application on your phone, choosing which tasks to take part in, and invite your friends to participate with you. Once this is done, your watch will be able to show your progress in each task and its correspondence with the achievements of your friends. You can see this information in the Samsung Health app on your watch or by adding a widget to your watch home screen. New sleep tracking screens Sleep tracking has been slightly tweaked to add 100 points to all other information and g

Samsung's next rugged phone should be much cheaper than the previous one

You must love a phone that can take a bump. Samsung has made several, from the Galaxy Active series to the more recent Xcover Field Pro. The latter made a splash with its high price tag and outdated software, but the updated Xcover 5 leaked onto the software update schedule earlier today. In just a few hours, both photos and specifications are available. German site WinFuture.de showcases photos of the front and back of the phone, as well as a collection of unconfirmed specs. The model is rather modest: the number 5 in the name refers to its 5.3-inch 720p display, which is practically tiny by modern standards. Its Exynos 850 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and a microSD card slot won’t surprise anyone either. A single 16MP rear camera won’t top the DXOmark lists. On the other hand, the combination of low cost and durable hardware can be a hit for those tired of paying for screen repairs. The Xcover 5 is said to be IP68 rated and 810G compliant, making it dust-proof an

This story was originally published 2021/02/04 4:40 p.m. PST February 4, 2021 and last update 2021.03.15 7:30 PDT March 15, 2021 … This time, Samsung began rolling out the patch in February 2021 a little earlier, with the European Galaxy S20 lineup becoming the first recipient. These latest Android security updates are now rolling out in the US, starting with the unlocked Galaxy S20 and Note20 Ultra models, and most recently followed by a couple of older and lower-cost devices at AT&T and Verizon. You can expect more Galaxy and mid-range flagships to join this list in the coming weeks if Samsung sticks to its course of delivering security patches in a timely manner. These updates often follow a phased release, so you might have to wait for them to reach you, although you can always check it manually in the section Settings> Software update … Here are all Samsung phones that have been updated to the February 2021 patch in the United States, with the latest entries in b

How to Access Samsung Gallery Secret Menu on Galaxy Phone

Image
No matter how well we think we know our phones, there is always something that eludes our attention. Don’t believe me? If you have a Samsung phone, chances are you didn’t know that your Gallery app contains a hidden menu chock full of secret options. To be clear, this is not news and Samsung ships it with One UI 2.1. If you want to give it a try, it’s pretty easy to enable it: go to settings in the Gallery app and open About gallery … Now click on the version number a few times until you see a toast that says [Labs] Gallery lab included … Now you will find the now not-so-secret menu in the application settings menu. There are many functions here that can be switched, but not all of them may be available for your device – the listed versions of One UI are the minimum required for each function to work. For example, the ones listed in One UI 2.5 will only work on phones with that version or higher. While some of these settings are already stable, there is still work to be done.

We won't get Samsung's Galaxy Note this year

Image
You may have already heard rumors of a semiconductor shortage affecting technology and the automotive sector, but it looks like the worst is yet to come. This “severe supply imbalance” could lead to some tough decisions in the next business quarter, according to Samsung CEO DJ Koch. Chief among them is a call to abandon the flagship Galaxy Note this year. As reported Bloomberg Samsung’s recent shareholder meeting was a complete flop on this issue. The company is working with partners to reduce the shortage, but it has already thought about the future of the Note line, and this could be a good opportunity to experiment with its release cycle. There does not appear to be a plan to ditch the Note series entirely at this time, but there is every chance that a decision could be made at a later date. Currently, the Note for 2022 is still on the table, but the future with just one major flagship series from Samsung looks more realistic than ever. It’s good that Samsung has added S Pen s

Google fixes persistent Android app crashes

This afternoon US time reports from dozens and then hundreds of Samsung subreddit users began to arrive, complaining that applications on their phones are constantly and seemingly accidentally crashing. This causes severe headaches. You can quickly fix the problem by disabling the Android System WebView app or updating it via the Play Store or APK Mirror. Users of latest Samsung phones —Galaxy S20 and S21, Note 20, A50 and A70 series, among others, appear to have been hit hardest. There are scattered reports that the same problem occurs with Pixel , Motorola and OnePlus, although these could be occasional issues not related to the underlying issue. Some older Samsung devices, including one J7, have reported similar issues. Application crashes are no
